Being off sick, I spent the day watching Doctor Who and watched every River Song moment from birth to death, including skipping back and forth between certain scenes and First Night/Last Night.
Result?

It was so difficult to watch the Doctor growing younger, and by Series 5, I even laughed and realised how babyfaced he really is. It was interesting to see it so intimately from River’s point of view, and I almost cried the moment he turned on her in AGMGTW and for the first time (in her/my perspective) didn’t truly know who she was.
I felt everything she did, every dig the Doctor gave, every moment he doubted her or argued with her, or anything that implied he was growing further and further away.
By the end, when River tells Anita about ‘her Doctor’, I could see all those moments with Eleven, so fresh, because I’d only just watched them, and it was beautiful and sad.
It was an exhausting slog, but well worth it. Got to be on every Whovian’s to-do list before River’s episode count gets too great to do in a day!
