Aw, if you’re at the the official DW con, I’d love to meet you and get pics!
The Doctor is the Doctor. He was the 10th once. The 11th is the 10th. The 11th is also the eighth, the fourth, the first. They’re all literally the same exact person, why pretend the 10th Doctor is some separate godly person from all the other forms of, literally, himself?
The Doctor Who fandom really disappoints me sometimes when they act like the Doctor isn’t the Doctor.
David Tennant chose to leave, and some few people like to antagonize Matt Smith because they feel like he “replaced” David. These people would have hated literally any 11th Doctor. It doesn’t matter who the actor could have been, they wanted the 10th forever because they can’t stand the idea of anyone being the Doctor but David Tennant. Surprise, 9 Doctors were before him, the role wasn’t made for David Tennant, he didn’t even exist when the show started and nobody knew who he was. He is no “better” than all of the other actors who have played the Doctor.
I wish these kinds of fans would realize this. David said he was going to stay for three years. He was going to leave, and no amount of hating on other actors is going to bring him back. It really, really disappoints me.

Not that I noticed! Most just seemed to be quite animated and excitable!
No worries, hun! I’m sure you’ll get the chance one day. More conventions are bound to happen with another series of Doctor Who under her belt. :)
Oh, so it’s come to that has it? I decide to post on my personal photos and videos and I get someone calling me too fat and short to be River? Good job, anonymous. I’m sure that made your day feel tons better.
It’s okay, anonymous, you’re too unpleasant and cold to be anything at all.
I do have a video, but the quality isn’t very good! I’m sure there are better videos from other people!
I was lucky enough to meet Alex for the first time at the Collectormania event in 2011! This was also my first time going to a convention and also my first time cosplaying. Alex was absolutely lovely and genuinely enthusiastic, not only about meeting her fans, but about the show. We discussed my outfit and shared excitement that I had managed to find the screen accurate jacket and she even happily showed me the jeans and boots she currently had on - for they were the ones she wore in Impossible Astronaut! She’s a cosplayer too!! But, in summary, genuinely lovely, funny and kind. I’ll never have a bad word to say about her.
This one’s been nagging at me for a while. A long while. I remembered it a few minutes ago, and I need to share it.
In Let’s Kill Hitler, the Teselecta (as Amy) says ‘You killed The Doctor’ to the recently regenerated Melody Pond. Melody replies something along the lines of ‘That was ages ago’….
I think you’ve misheard, which is causing a lot of your confusion!
Teselecta Amy: You killed the Doctor.
Melody Pond: Oh, I know, dear. I hope you’re not going to keep on about it.
They are referring to the recent poisoned kiss. Originally, the Teselecta has Lake Silencio down as the Doctor’s point of death, but as the story unfolds, they realise it’s happening far sooner. Despite them not understanding the change of a fixed point, Melody is still the culprit.
After the Doctor survives, the Teselecta realise the fixed point hasn’t changed and therefore Lake Silencio is still going to happen. At which point, they are pulled into the plan to keep his survival a secret (as they allow him to use a Teselecta to fake his death.)
The only good thing about this ending is that Rose left.
